Albert Clarence Williams served in the Civil War, CSA Co. B Batl GA Cav. He was in Virginia, Kentucky, and Maryland. CSA service per GA Pension records, filed in Newton County. Wife, Lizzie, filed for a widow's pension also in Newton County. He enlisted in May 1862 at Covington, GA with Co. B, 16th GA Battalion, Cavalry. His unit surrendered in Christianburg, VA on 9 Apr. 1865 and he was present at the surrender. He was never captured during the war. His length of service was from April 1862 until 9 April 1865. The 16th was merged into the 13 Batl. Cav. in 1865.

I am Leigh Hopper Stallings, parents Dewey Hopper and Mae Elizabeth Williams (lived in Griffin Ga, may be buried in Social Circle) . Her parents were James Aubie Williams and Mary Pearl Clark. James Aubies parents were Azariah Boswick Williams and Mary PearlClark.
